M16/M4 -The M16/M4 family is an ideal family of weapons for todays style of warfare they come in many different variations with attachments these are just a few

The Support Weapons the marines use are vital to the success of the M16/M4. The weapons they use are M249 (5.56 caliber), M240 (7.62 caliber) , M203(under barrel grenade launcher).

The M249 and M240 are used to suppress the enemy so the rest of the fireteam can can flank them so they get exposed and close in and destroy the enemy.

The M203 is a close fire support weapon that assists on assaults on enemy positions to soften up the resistance before the assault.

The AT4 is used to take out enemies that are in fortified positions that can't be take out by the M203

Pistols/Grenades - Although the pistols are almost never used only as a last resort, knowing how to effectively use them could be life or death. The Marines use the M9 and the MEUSOC.
