blakeBlake Lively as Serena Van der Woodsen

Blake has become one of the hottest young actresses in
Hollywood. She has already starred in the movies
"Accepted" and "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants,"
where she earned "Breakthrough Performance"
nomination at the "2005 Teen Choice Awards." She has
also performed in "Elvis & Annabelle" as well as "The
Private Lives of Pippa Lee." Besides being honored at
the December 2006 Hollywood Breakthrough Awards,
Blake won "Choice TV Actress" and "Choice TV
Breakout Star" at the 2008 Teen choice Awards. Blake
spends most of her time between her hometown of Los
Angeles, and New York City.

 

 

 

Leighton Meester as Blair Waldorf

During the casting of "Gossip Girl," Leighton completed
the production of two movies. She is co-starring in the
movie "The Roommate," playing the role of a college
student who becomes obsessed with her roommate.
She also stars in the movie "Date Night" with Tina Fey
and Steve Carell, which was released in April 2010. In
addition to acting, Leighton began recording her new
album which was released by the Universal Republic
this year. She was rasied in Marco Island, Florida and
became an actress at age 11. The Meester's moved to
NYC and Leighton began working as a model. She likes
to write and pursue her talent for music in her spare time.

 

 

Chace Crawford as Nate Archibald

Chace will play a lead role in "Footloose," which will be
produced this year. He will also be a star in Joel
Schumacher's film "Twelve," which is another 2010 film
that will be released. He grew up in Piano, Texas and
attended Pepperdine University. While he was there,
acting became a hobby. Shortly after, he co-starred in
the film "The Covenant" as Tyler Simms. In 2006,
appeared in Lifetime's Movie, "Long Lost Son"
portraying the role of Gabrielle Anwar's son. Currently,
Chace splits his time between Los Angeles and the
Gossip Girl set in New York City.

 

 

 

Penn Badgley as Dan Humphrey

Penn appeared in the dramatic thriller, "The Stepfather"
in October 2009. He has also appeared in "Forever
Strong" and "John Tucker Must Die." Penn has starred
in television series such as, "Do Over." He was born in
Baltimore, and spent a majority of his time between
Midlothian, Virginia, and Seattle, Washington. In Seattle,
Penn's involvement in the musical theatre helped him
discover his passion for acting. Penn then moved to Los
Angeles and attended Santa Monica College to build his
resume. He planned on transferring to USC, but his life
and work stopped him. He now lives in New York City
where he plays soccer and writes music in his spare time.

 

 

Ed Westwick as Chuck Bass

Ed Westwick is from Stevenage, Hertforshire, England.
When he was young, he trained at the National Youth
Theatre in London. When he is not on the set of Gossip
Girl in New York City, he resides at his home outside of
London. He has appeared in a couple of high profile
features, playing the roles in "Children of Men" and
"Breaking and Entering." He has also appeared in the
movie, "Son of Rainbow." His television credits include
guest starring in "Californication," "Afterlife," "Doctors,"
"Dream Team," and "Casualty." Ed is the new face of
K-Swiss, making him the second Gossip Girl member
to market sportswear.
